Bringing vision to life

Ivy Falls is a community, home to a collaboration of artists, builders, designers and performers.
It is an island - full of surprises, with a dark past and hidden secrets - a space to live and work, to meet with friends, to share talent, thoughts and ideas.

About Ivy Falls

Ivy Falls was established as a talent agency representing live artists in February 2007 by Rekka Berchot and Liliyah Lancaster. In March 2008 the agency found a new home in a forgotten valley of the same name, and under Rekka's guidance, became the Ivy Falls we know today - a stunning creative space where folk from all walks of life come to share their talent, and express themselves.

The picturesque island houses a shopping mall, cafe, theatre, ampitheatre and garden, lining a tranquil river. Ivy Falls has hosted live musicians Moxy Barracuda, Nance Brody, Space Junky, Black Label Society, Dexter Ihnen, Thumper Boucher, Mimi Carpenter and more! A wedding reception made a bang here, and the Changhigh Trinity Fireshow features regularly.
A unique theatre has hosted comedian Lauren Weyland, and the successful In the Pink production which raised more than L$300,000 for V-Day 2008.
Lauren Weyland and the Changhigh Trinity Fireshow have both had shows broadcast live outisde of Second Life® virtual world from Ivy Falls, and media company Valley Spirit Productions has now based themselves at the island.

In August 2008, Ivy Falls partnered with the Act Up Theatre Company to stage the unique live theatre performance of a Midsummer Night's Dream and remains committed to the production and promotion of live events and arts in the Second Life® virtual world.

Welcome

When asked to explain the function of Ivy Falls - it's hard to know where to start...

Like many people, I arrived in the Second Life® virtual world and had no idea what to expect but was always amazed at the unique and exciting creations that people bring into this virtual reality!

And so that brings me to this island. I am hoping that by giving the means, the props, and the base to create and perform, that the spark in people will ignite and inspire them to push beyond their limitations.

We have constructed a fully functioning theatre with box seating, green room, dressing rooms, and anything else found in a real life theatre - even its own ghosts! With the implentation of voice we have been able to fully enjoy the experience of both viewing and performing live theatre, with drama, and comedy.

Our cafe and courtyard, are open and fun spaces to meet people and have the potential for impromptu speakers, poetry readings, book clubs, and music, as is our secluded garden at the northern end of the river.

We have a large amphitheatre that needs to be seen to be believed. Set at one end of the Ivy River, this stunning venue has hosted an array of incredible live concerts - artisitc performaces and fantastic DJs.

All throughout the island we are hoping artists will want to come and share their creations, their visions, and their talent. Come and visit us - we're sure Ivy Falls will become something special to you!

Please enjoy exploring our website, and visit us in Second Life!

Rekka Berchot,
Ivy Falls Owner
